The purpose of the Society is to foster interest in the culture, history and language of Wales.  We seek to encourage fellowship between people of Welsh descent and those interested in Wales and Welsh life, to preserve the history of the American-Welsh in Iowa and to establish connections with other Welsh-American organizations.

Upcoming Events-

March 3, 2018: Lunch and program at Monarch's restaurant in The Royal Amsterdam Hotel, Pella, IA. Reservations required for lunch. Program will be The Welsh Way, a review of the Oral History of the Welsh of Louisa County. This oral history was conducted by members of the Iowa Welsh Society in the mid 1990s. Since then, many of those interviewed, the first generation born in the USA to Welsh immigrants, are no longer living. Current members will re-tell stories told by the people interviewed. 515-232-0608 for information.
